I am a mechanical engineer and product designer based in Hong Kong, with a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing and Design Engineering from Northwestern University. My work blends technical precision with human-centered design, where functionality and user experience meet.
With hands-on experience in product development, prototyping, and manufacturing, I am passionate about creating products that solve real-world problems while pushing the boundaries of innovation and design. I focus on crafting meaningful objects that people can connect with, enriching their daily lives through thoughtful design.
Designed, engineered, & manufactured chair in 8 weeks within a $1000 budget. Displayed at Segal Design Institute showcase and graduation exhibition.
3 modes, 9 adjustment settings- the Construct chair is designed for everyone, for any situation.
Published process book documenting design and engineering process.
Conceptualized and developed product for home cooks that extends lifespan of used cooking oil. Identified innovation opportunity to not only improve sediment filtering, but also remove byproducts of oil degradation to reverse oil aging.
Benchmarked existing solutions, analyzed patents, designed and performed experiments, and performed a root cause analysis into oil degradation when exploring oil filtration and treatment methods. Prototyped and tested two part set: a pressure driven system that treats used cooking oil with physical and adsorbent filters, and a storage canister to maintain treated oil quality.
Designed and 3D modelled anti-roll bar assembly on SOLIDWORKS to meet new FSAE car stiffness targets, performing displacement and stress FEA analysis to validate.
Fabricated blades out of titanium with manual lathe and mill, forming threads using single-point threading method.
Translated elementary school student's drawing of a smiling snowboarding basketball into injection molded plastic toy. Simplified and optimized design for manufacturing, modeled parts and required tooling on NX, designed CAM operations for CNC mill.
Manufactured production run of 10 units, gaining firsthand experience of injection molding process.
